Dr. Childers

Dr. Brooke Childers obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from NC State after receiving her Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from Western Carolina. During veterinary school, Dr. Childers developed her love of emergency medicine while working at a local veterinary emergency hospital. Upon graduation, she took a unique route and worked 2.5 years of rural large animal medicine until her love of emergency medicine called her back, and she joined HTVEC. Her veterinary interests are emergency and critical care and client education. When she’s not at HTVEC,  she’s spending time with her husband and daughter, and their two orange tabby cats: Winnie and Pooh. A fun fact about Dr. Childers is that she’s a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan and tries to go to one game a year with her husband.
