What You’ll Be Doing
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of emergency cases—trauma, toxicity, GI distress, respiratory crises, and more
- Lead patient care with the support of a fully trained technical and triage team
- Perform emergency procedures and surgeries as needed
- Communicate clearly with clients in emotional situations, offering guidance, empathy, and treatment options
- Collaborate with fellow DVMs, medical team, and leadership to uphold medical standards and continuously improve patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited institution
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in North Carolina
- Previous experience in emergency or urgent care preferred
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset

What You’ll Be Doing
As a member of our medical team, you’ll:
- Assist in triage and stabilization of emergency patients
- Monitor patients in ICU and inpatient care with close attention to detail
- Perform technical tasks including IV catheter placement, blood draws, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, lab work, and more
- Support DVMs during exams, procedures, and surgeries
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical notes in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate clearly with clients, especially in high-stress or emotional situations
- Work side-by-side with a team that’s passionate, collaborative, and always learning
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary experience required (1+ years in general practice or emergency preferred)
- Credentialed technicians (RVT, LVT, CVT) are strongly encouraged to apply—but we welcome skilled non-credentialed team members as well
- Able to remain calm, compassionate, and focused in a high-pressure environment
- Comfortable handling critical and sometimes unstable patients
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, or holidays

What You’ll Be Doing

- Manage check-ins, client records, invoicing, and payments with efficiency and care
- Support the medical team by coordinating client communication and ensuring smooth workflow
- Handle emotionally charged or sensitive situations with patience and compassion
- Work collaboratively with a close-knit team in a fast-paced emergency environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or veterinary reception preferred
- Ability to stay calm, organized, and professional in high-stress situations
- Strong communication skills—both in person and over the phone
- Comfortable using computers and learning veterinary software systems
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Compassionate, reliable, and a true team player
- High school diploma or equivalent required
