Dr. Daves

Dr. Daves is passionate about soft tissue surgical techniques and loves doing laceration repairs. She is a member of VIN, AVMA and the NC Writers Network. In her spare time, she enjoys writing, reading, playing video games and spending time with her dog, Drax, an American Bulldogs who loves balls and tug-of-war. She also shares her home with three cuddly cats named Ender, Newt and Neville. Dr. Daves has a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee. She is currently enrolled in a creative writing master’s program. Her mother and father are both teachers and her two older sisters work in human medicine. A fun fact about Dr. Daves is that she has worked with lions, tigers and bears, oh my!
